Wonderful Review of Julep's Mystery Spring Box 2013

Box first open...and with one piece of candy missing :-)
I received my Julep Spring Mystery Box today and I'm pretty satisfied. I paid only $25 for the box and I received $86 in products (assuming the nail file was $1 and hair ties are $5). Pretty good! At this time, Camille (clear with silver glitter) and Ashley (Metallic orange), cannot be found on the site. **warning** I was sick and I have a bad habit of biting my nails (I know bad Kam). Next time, the nails will be better.

First we have Lauren (classic with a twist). A pretty pink color that is truly girly and classic. Great opaque coverage in 3 coats. I found Lauren  easy to apply. I cannot wait to wear this with my neon yellow cutout wedges.

With  flash on left and without flash on right. Index finger 3 coats, middle finger
2 coats and  ring finger 1 coat.

Next Ashley, a metallic orange, great coverage in 2 coats. I'm not a big fan of metallic color polishes but Ashley is cute and was also easy to apply.

Left with flash, right without flash. index 3 coats, middle 2 coats  and  ring 1 coat.
As you can see, only 2 coats are needed.

Now Camille, which I like already since its a variation of my name, is a clear with silver glitter. Looks nice over creamy polishes (such a Lauren) versus metallic.

And lastly, I am excited that I received Julep's Daylight Defense SPF 30 for face and hands. It is so important to have SPF protection for nails services that involve UV lights. And even more important to protect our beautiful faces to look fresh and young for years to come. Valued at $28, the texture was light and it absorbed into my skin nicely. A pea size is needed for hands and less than a dime size for face.
I also received a nail file (which is always needed), polish remover pads and three hair ties (neon green, orange and pink). I give this box an A for usefulness and pretty polishes.

Now on the the reviews. I received my box on February 29th. In this box, I received Olay Fresh Effects, NotYourMothers beach babe texturizing sea salt spray, Secret Clinical Strength deodorant and SkinnyGirl on the go bar in Coco-nut (kosher) 1st....Olay Fresh Effects.

Glowing skin!
While there are many vibrating face scrubbers, the Olay Fresh Effects rubber scrubber was pleasant to use. The directions are simple, wet face, wet the brush, apply cleanser to brush and scrub away. I found the brush easy on my face for the first use. The cleanser was creamy but not too moisturizing. It pulled of my foundation that seemed to be gone after I used makeup remover and my face felt...well fresh. I do have dry to normal skin and maybe 10 minutes after use, my face was a bit dry around my nose. But after applying a few drops of argan oil, I was good to go. I give Olay Fresh Effects an A- because it did cleanse my face. I do not recommend daily use for us ladies with dry skin. Next NotYourMothers....

Okay so truthfully, I used NotYourMothers beach babe texturizing sea salt spray only because I have extensions in my hair. Normally my hair is natural and black natural hair + sea salt = no bueno. Since the extensions are Brazilian  I thought I'd give it a try. Based on other reviews, the result of the spray really depends on your hair type. In my case, it was just okay. I would not buy the product. BUT I've seen awesome outcomes for other girls, So give this product a try using your discretion. Next Secret Clinical Strength...

This day was stressful while using Secret Clinical Strength
OMG, I love Secret Clinical Strength Stress Sweat protection in Serene Citrus. It smells good and reduces sweat. I decided to wear it on a day I had an audition  I was super nervous, which is stressful and that leads to stress sweating in my case. On that day, I my underarms were dry and they still smelled good hours later. I did noticed I was slightly hot that day versus a day I would wear another brand. I would definitely recommend for ladies who are more prone to sweat easily.

And last but not least  SkinnyGirl on the go bar in Coco-nut. I hate coconut but the flavor was not bad. If you see it, go for it!

This Sweatheart VoxBox was a great blend of ready to go products for busy gals! I'm curious to know what the next one will have in store...
